The eclectically collectively illustrated Ruby and the Blissmas Tree story is now online.

As you may notice, there are still several pages without illustrations. If your fingers are twitching, grab a pencil and get drawing. Send me your image by email or upload it to Flickr and send me the link.
And for now…
Happy Solstice

and
Enjoy reading!
November 17th, 2010The text for my new children’s story, Ruby and the Blissmas Tree, is now online but there are no illustrations!
(Except for this image of the Blissmas Tree, which was the inspiration for the story in the first place..)

If you are an aspiring or established artist / illustrator, young or old, Ruby and I would love you to illustrate one of the pages of the story.
So, have a read of it, choose the page that most inspires you, then get illustrating. Bring your own unique twist to it, the illustrations don’t need to be in any particular style.
Once you have a final image, you can either email it to me or upload it to Flickr.com and send me the link before the 15th December, so that I can put it up on the site before Christmas (or should I say, Blissmas) Eve.
Please include the name and age of the artist as well as which number page you have drawn an image for.
All submissions will be put up on the website alongside the story text.
Happy illustrating!
Love Roshnii (& Ruby)
November 16th, 2010Ooh, this has been a long time coming. I started writing Ruby and the Blissmas Tree, the sequel to Ruby and the Star, in September 2009. It is now November 2010 and I have just been polishing up the text and getting it ready to release on the web.
Watch this space…
July 12th, 2009As you can see, the website now has a spangly new banner. I decided to use the Fox Jump font.
Hope you like it!
July 4th, 2009You can now read the full text of Ruby and the Star here on the website.
The story is accompanied by illustrations – some colour and some still in their black and white draft form.
It would be great to know what you think of the story. Please feel free to leave a comment on the comments page.
July 2nd, 2009Yay! After her birth on the page back in 2004, Ruby has finally made it onto the web with this brand new site.
Read her story on rubyandthestar.com and stay tuned in here for the latest news on what is happening in the Ruby-sphere.
